Ewen McLeod joins Board of Wrenbridge

Wrenbridge are delighted to announce the appointment of Ewen McLeod to the board of directors. Ewen joined Wrenbridge over 10 years ago, in 2007 as an Associate before being promoted to the Senior Management team at the beginning of this year.

Prior to joining Wrenbridge, Ewen spent three years working for Savills, where he qualified as a chartered surveyor specialising in commercial agency and professional work. At Wrenbridge, Ewen’s focus is on finding and managing the stock in the South East and East Anglia.  He’s delivered a number of speculative industrial developments in and around the M25 with other key projects including York Community Stadium –  an 8,000 seat stadium, with a leisure complex, IMAX cinema, community hub and Colworth Park, one of Unilever’s global R & D campuses, a 91 acre science park with over 350,000 sq ft of laboratory and office accommodation.

The promotion is a clear indicator of the continued growth of Wrenbridge, who celebrated their 25th anniversary last year with their busiest 12 months yet.  In 2018 they had c. £903 million of gross development value under management, across 34 ongoing projects, with a development pipeline of 2 million sq ft.  They also saw major developments at their key projects including The Grafton in Cambridge, a 500,000 sq ft shopping centre and Boxset in Basildon, a 10 acre site with planning for three Grade A warehouses totalling 223,000 sq ft.  In addition, their York Community Stadium scheme won both Property Week ‘Deal of the Year’ award, and Estates Gazette ‘Regional Deal of the Year’, and Wrenbridge was listed as one of the Property Week ‘Best companies to work for’.

Ewen McLeod commented:

“I joined Wrenbridge in June 2007 having pitched for an agency instruction and was offered a job on the drive home. I had no idea what to expect but I’d wanted to get involved in development and it just felt right. It’s a dynamic company to work for with unquestionable funding through Palmer Capital and other funding partners.  Nearly 12 years on, I’m still here and enjoying it.  I’m excited for the future of Wrenbridge, and despite market uncertainty we remain active and opportunistic.”
