GROUND BROKEN AT QUADRON, THE BRIDGE

On Tuesday 27 November, Buccleuch Property and Wrenbridge Land were pleased to host the ground breaking ceremony for their new speculative industrial development called Quadron at the Bridge in Dartford.

The high specification warehouse units totalling 45,500 sq ft will be located within the heart of The Bridge, a mixed-use business, residential and leisure development.  The units will range from 8,500 sq ft to 13,500 sq ft in size and occupy a prominent position fronting on to Rennie Drive.

A previously undeveloped site, Wrenbridge and Buccleuch Property are planning to transform the land to create employment opportunities and provide economic value to the local area. Construction is now under way and the units will available to let by July 2019.

Located just off junction 1A on the M25 with excellent transport links and access routes, The Bridge aims to integrate over 1.8 million square feet of commercial space with hotels and restaurants, new homes, community facilities and over 80 acres of public open space.  It is proving to be a popular location for business with Sainsburys, SEM Technology, Mercedes-Benz and Premier Inn already having significant property interests on the site.

Commencement of the Quadron development comes only two months after practical completion of the Axion building in Belvedere was achieved and further underlines the ability of Buccleuch and Wrenbridge to work together to purchase sites unconditionally and enhance value through the planning process.

Jeff Wilson, Director of Wrenbridge commented “We are looking forward to delivering another exceptional speculative warehouse scheme within the thriving SE London and Kent market. The proposed unit sizes are exactly what the market needs at this time.”

Neil Finnie, Director of Buccleuch said “Quadron is the latest in our speculative industrial development portfolio and we look forward to providing a high quality product that helps to generate new employment in the area”.
