Wrenbridge is shortlisted for Developer of the Year

Wrenbridge is delighted to have been shortlisted for the Developer of the Year title at the Property Awards 2020!

Wrenbridge had a very busy 2019, from the completion of the first two phases of Harlow Science Park (their 600,000 sq ft JV with Vinci and Harlow Council) to the construction of a new stadia, leisure quarter, cinema, sports centre, outdoor pitches and restaurant quarter for York City Football Club and the Council. Wrenbridge’s current portfolio has a cumulative end value of c.£850 across their 25 projects, with plenty more in the pipeline. Last year saw the completion of the construction of new warehouse projects in Dartford, Basildon, Crawley and Belvedere which have an end value of c.£100m. They have also recently purchased new warehouse projects in Waltham Cross, Snodland, Dartford, Bedford and Braintree which creates a further pipeline of c.£150m.

One of Wrenbridge’s large news pieces was the sale of Colworth Science Park back in November 2019 for over £60m. Wrenbridge still remain in a JV with Unilever, Colworth Science Park’s anchor tenant, to promote the 900 acres of land surrounding the science park. Wrenbridge have many other JV projects with companies such as Railpen and M&G, which will add further industrial and office space to their portfolio.

Wrenbridge also continue to progress with more sustainable ways to develop their buildings, for which they were awarded a Planet Mark accreditation last month. Wrenbridge are constantly striving to improve this area of their business and their individual and collective carbon footprint are currently under review.

These are but a few reasons why Wrenbridge made the cut for this year’s shortlist for Developer of the Year, and the team very much look forward to the awards ceremony on 21st April at Grosvenor House.
